Merry Christmas, Cowboys and Cowgirls!
Ow! Vintage ad. I’m sure she’ll have a merry Christmas, right after she finds a place to bury the body.
Whatever one’s chosen functional role in a relationship, it’s nice to have one’s efforts be appreciated or one’s tasks made easier, and not so good to have that role be considered to be who you are in that relationship, or why you exist. Young children can get away with it. Adults, well, not so much.
Enjoy the respite from work, such as that may be for you. May your employer not be one of those who gladly sacrifices your life at minimum wage to scratch for every last retail dime out there. For those of you who enjoy get-togethers and traditions and decorations and feasting, have at it! For those who see it as a chance to quietly step back and take a moment to review, go to it. For those followers of Christ, continue to seek to honor Him in what you do and how you do it. Celebrate Him.
The “Christmas Parade” at the LTVA consists of a handful of crazed RVers who load Christmas lights on their pickups and/or trailers and idle around together in the blackness for two nights (so far).

Pretty cool Christmas Parade
Thank you, JR. They made a third lap late on Christmas Eve and it’s too bad that cameras, darkness, and moving lights don’t make for an accurate record of passing. Because of their motion and mine, a few of the photos are pretty interesting, though.
Wonderful. Wish I had been there. You all are having too much fun down there. My neighborhood is boring right now… and I’ll be taking sun-baked goodies out into the wilderness West of here… in search of hungry vandwellers.
Yeah Charlene, for a remote campground, this is sort of a happenin’ place at times. But I’m not seeing any baked goodies down here!

That Christmas parade was fun to watch! They had that big wonka horn tooting everywhere they went and folks would come out of their campers all along their route to cheer, take pictures and shout Merry Christmas! I love crazy people!
They must have had quite a turnout in the more densely populated areas, like along the main drag through camp.
Yup! 🙂 I am not far from the camp host. Lots of folks here and it was great to see all the cameras flashing, folks smiling and waving! 🙂 Neighbors wishing each other Merry Christmas! Warm and wonderful! 🙂
